Infant and Child Bodywork

Bodywork is a gentle, hands-on approach that supports comfort, movement, and regulation in babies and children. Sessions often include a combination of craniosacral and visceral work, thoughtfully integrated with pediatric physical therapy techniques.

Rather than relying on a single method, I tailor care to each child, blending techniques thoughtfully to support how their body moves, responds, and develops over time.

While much of my work focuses on early infancy, bodywork can be supportive for babies and children at different stages of development. The goal is always the same: to help the body feel more at ease so movement, feeding, and play can happen with greater comfort and confidence.

Parents typically reach out with concerns like:

  • Feeding or latch challenges

  • Oral, jaw, or facial tension

  • Tongue ties (before or after release)

  • Reflux, colic, or digestive discomfort

  • Head preference, flat spots, or torticollis

  • Tension following a difficult or traumatic birth

  • Delayed or uneven movement patterns

  • Difficulty tolerating positions (tummy time, sitting, transitions)

  • A child who feels stiff, uncomfortable, or guarded with movement

  • A sense that something “just doesn’t feel right”

You don’t need a diagnosis or referral to reach out. Your observations matter.

My Approach & Process

Craniosacral work uses gentle touch to support the nervous system and release tension that may impact comfort, feeding, or movement.

Visceral work focuses on supporting the organs and surrounding tissues, which can play an important role in digestion, posture, and overall regulation.

Together, these approaches help support the body as a whole, not just individual symptoms, creating a foundation for more comfortable movement and development.

In-home visits allow care to happen where children are most comfortable. By working in your home, sessions feel more relaxed, recommendations are easier to implement, and families avoid the added stress of travel with a baby or young child.

Each visit begins with a conversation about what you’re noticing and what feels most important to address. I’ll observe your child’s movement, offer hands-on support as appropriate, and share education and simple strategies you can use at home. Sessions are responsive to your child’s cues and designed to support both immediate comfort and longer-term development.

Early support doesn’t have to be forceful to be effective. Sometimes subtle, thoughtful input, paired with movement and education, creates the most meaningful transformation.
